10 Quotes On Planning For Success

I am continuing to talk about the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Today I will discuss the sixth step, organize planning. It is through organized planning that you turn your desire into action. By setting up solid plans for your future, you will be able to turn your dreams into reality. I have also included 10 quotes about planning for success to help you understand the importance of a good plan.

Quotes On Planning For Success

Now that you have your desire or definite purpose, you want to tap into your imagination to help create your plan for the future. I discussed in last week’s post, imagination can be thought of as your workshop where your plans are created and organized. I have also talked about in previous posts, the six steps for turning your thoughts into reality. The formation of practical plans is one of the steps. Some good tips on planning for success are:

  • Find a group of like-minded individuals to help you create your plan;
  • Decide what form of compensation that you will trade for their help;
  • Meet with the group at least twice a week;
  • Maintain perfect harmony between yourself and every member of your group.

Master Mind Group

This group of like-minded individuals is what is known as a “Master Mind” group. It can consist of as many people as you may need. One person might suffice, or you might need many more to tap into their “specialized knowledge.” Let’s face it, it is difficult to accomplish anything alone. We don’t have all the knowledge necessary to create our plans for the future.

“Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.”
~ Pablo Picasso

“Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan.”
~ Tom Landry

Everything begins in the mind as a thought. It will take a solid, practical plan to transform that thought into an actual physical item, such as money. Once you have your plan, go to work. Do something every day and continue to take advice from your “Master Mind” group.

“It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan.” ― Eleanor Roosevelt, the former first lady of the United States

“The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining.” ― John F. Kennedy, former U.S. President

“Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.” — Warren Buffett, investor

Planning and Failing

Your first plan might not be your best plan, and you find it doesn’t work. No worries, most first plans fail. Henry Ford built two automobile businesses that failed before he started the Ford Motor Company. Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times before he invented the light bulb. If you fail, go back and redo your plan and try again. Keep reworking your plan until you find one that works.

“Always plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.” ― Richard Cushing, American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church

“Few people have any next, they live from hand to mouth without a plan, and are always at the end of their line.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson, poet, and essayist

“Every minute you spend in planning saves 10 minutes in execution; this gives you a 1,000 percent return on energy!” ― Brian Tracy, author, and motivational speaker

Why Plan?

Working on your plan will help prevent procrastination, self-doubt, and anxiety. As you continue to work on your plan you will build belief in yourself and your plan for the future. As your belief turns to faith, then nothing can stop you.

“Plans are nothing; planning is everything.” ― Dwight D. Eisenhower, former U.S. President

“The more time you spend contemplating what you should have done… you lose valuable time planning what you can and will do.” ― Lil Wayne, rapper

10 Ignore Negativity Quotes

I would like to eliminate all negativity in my life. Unfortunately, that is not possible and might not be possible for you. Therefore, you have to learn to ignore negativity you cannot eliminate.

“Negative people can only infest you with discouragements when they find you around. Just get lost and be saved.”
~ Israelmore Ayivor

What I’m talking about here is negativity that comes from family or coworkers. You might find that you cannot cut these people out of your life. You have to keep seeing them, and when you do, they will spread their negativity around you. Ignore negativity coming from these people. I have included 10 ignore negativity quotes to help you.

5 Tips To Ignore Negativity

You can use these 10 ignore negativity quotes to help you live a more positive life. Negativity in your life will hold you back and keep you from reaching your full potential. Your life will improve once you learn to eliminate or ignore negativity. Here are five tips to ignore negativity.

  1. Turn off your television and phone.
  2. Identify and cut loose toxic relationships.
  3. De-clutter your life.
  4. Exercise daily.
  5. Focus on you.

Turn Them Off!

For me, the vast majority of negativity in my life came from the television and phone. Media and social media inundated my life with negativity constantly. I stopped watching the news and became selective of what shows I watched. I did the same thing with social media. Becoming selective about which platforms I use helped me tremendously.

“I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi

“The best way of removing negativity is to laugh and be joyous.”
~ David Icke

Like many people, you might not want to eliminate watching the news as I did. If it is negatively affecting you, watch it to be informed but ignore the negative opinions/agendas. The same can be done for social media. Ignore the platforms or posts that tend to spread negativity.

Toxicity

Everyone has people in their life that they can do without. If you have someone at home or work you consider to be toxic, cut them loose. If you can’t cut them loose, learn to ignore their toxicity. Understand what they are doing and how it is affecting you. Immediately after interacting with this type of person, do something positive.

“If you accept the expectations of others, especially negative ones, then you never will change the outcome.”
~ Michael Jordan

“However vast the darkness, we must supply it with our own light.”
~ Stanley Kubrick

Get Rid Of It

My life can get very cluttered and I spend too much time on negative things. Do you find your life is the same? Periodically I like to take a look at my life and de-clutter it. I throw out whatever isn’t helping me grow as a person. If it isn’t something positive, I don’t need it, and out it goes. You will want to eliminate or ignore these things that are cluttering up your life. Doesn’t it feel great when you’ve gotten rid of clutter?

“You can’t think away your self-defeating thoughts; you have to dissolve them through action.”
 ~ Marty Rubin

“There are some people who always seem angry and continuously look for conflict. Walk away; the battle they are fighting isn’t with you, it is with themselves.”
~ Anonymous

Excercise

One of my favorite things to do to reduce negativity is exercise. I exercise daily; while doing so, I think about positive situations. The negative stuff is not allowed in my mind. Set small goals during your workout. Reward yourself as you hit these small goals. While exercising, listen to music that makes you happy. Get back to nature and take a walk/jog outside. Being outdoors, soaking up the sunshine, and breathing fresh air is very positive.

“I’ll always use the negativity as more motivation to work even harder and become even stronger.”
~ Tim Tebow

“Nobody can motivate himself in a positive direction by continually using negative words.”
 ~ John C. Maxwell

Me Time

In addition to daily exercise, another way I ignore negativity is to set aside time for myself every day. I do this early in the morning; it starts my day off right. Take some time for yourself. Go to a quiet room where you are alone in a positive environment. Control your thoughts and only think positive as you meditate. Fill your lungs as you slowly breathe in and out. Get into a relaxed state and speak positive affirmations. The negative will melt away.

“There are so many great things in life; why dwell on negativity?”
~ Zendaya

Qualities Of A Good Leader

Some people follow, others just get in the way, but leaders lead. No mission is accomplished without good leaders and leadership. Being a good leader is not easy. It is not for the faint of heart. Good leaders are few and far between. Many people are referred to as leaders yet exhibit no qualities of a good leader.

The supreme quality of leadership is unquestionably integrity. Without it, no real success is possible, no matter whether it is on a section gang, a football field, in an army, or in an office.
~ Dwight D. Eisenhower

Don’t follow the crowd. Let the crowd follow you.
~ Margaret Thatcher

Leadership is a choice, not a position.
~ Stephen Covey

Good Leader Qualities

You can be called a leader, but holding a title does not necessarily make you a good leader. A good leader is someone people will follow. They will perform above their abilities for that leader. Good leaders get subordinates to be better than their skill level. They build belief in people. If subordinates believe in their leader, they will begin to believe in their selves. Below are five qualities of a good leader.

  1. Humility
  2. Integrity
  3. Intelligence
  4. Innovation
  5. Decisive

The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things.
~ Ronald Reagan

Good Leaders Are Humble

One of the first things I was taught, when I was training to be a military officer was to be humble. You have to take care of the troops. A good leader ensures that they take care of their subordinates. When addressing subordinates outside, the leader should always face the sun. A good leader is always first to arrive and the last to leave. They make sure all the subordinates’ needs are taken care of. Then they can take care of themselves.

Being a good listener is absolutely critical to being a good leader; you have to listen to the people who are on the front line.
~ Richard Branson

Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right thing.
~ Peter F. Drucker

Honesty

Another quality of a good leader is honesty and integrity. Lead by example and always do the right thing. The good leader stands up for what they believe. Telling the truth, no matter how dire the situation is, is paramount. I had a great leader tell me once, “Bad news never gets better with age.”

Leadership is solving problems. The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems is the day you have stopped leading them. They have either lost confidence that you can help or conclude you do not care. Either case is a failure of leadership.
~ Colin Powell

Educate

All good leaders are intelligent. They continue to read and educate themselves. Leaders are readers, and readers are leaders. A good leader develops his/her subordinates. They make sure the subordinates are prepared for the job, mission, etc. Even though it might be easier to perform a task themselves, they will delegate parts of the task to others. The delegation of tasks will develop leadership in others.

If you want to improve the organization, you have to improve yourself, and the organization gets pulled up with you.
~ Indra Nooyi

Thinkers

Good leaders are innovative; they think outside the box. They keep an open mind and are always welcome to new ideas. The old ways of accomplishing the mission are not necessarily the best. They understand this concept. Leaders actively listen to everyone on their team.

Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.
~ Jack Welch

Never Waver

A good leader is always decisive. They never want to leave their team in limbo. They always make a decision even if it’s not a popular choice. Leaders listen to different ideas from their team and then make the final decision. The decision is always based on what is best for the group as a whole. Not all decisions are the right ones. If their decision was wrong and they take responsibility. They regroup, reevaluate, and make another decision. They always learn from their failures.

Great leaders can see the greatness in others when they can’t see it themselves and lead them to their highest potential they don’t even know.
~ Roy T. Bennett

These are only five qualities of a good leader. There are many more qualities of true leadership. If you would like to add a quality you admire, please do so in the comments section. Self-Improvement Quotes And Tips

This a podcast of a post I wrote as we were winding down 2020. There are some things you should do to prepare to make improvements in your life. Here are some self-improvement quotes and tips to help you. Don’t wait to start. Begin developing these habits now. Decide where you want to be this time next year and commit to becoming that person.

My wife and I have been together for 30 years and are happier than ever. Here are some tips on how we keep our relationship fresh and exciting. Get your FREE Relationship Tips Today!

Tips And Quotes For Self-Improvement

The five things to change are:

  • Your Words
  • What You Talk about
  • Your Money
  • Begin Writing
  • Time

“What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
~ Jane Goodall

“Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.”
~ Albert Einstein

Listen To Yourself

Begin a habit of listening to the words that you are using daily. By analyzing the words you use to describe yourself or your actions you will be able to find the words that are holding you back. Do you say the phrase, “I need to,” frequently? If so, eliminate that phrase and replace it with, “I will.” The phrase, “I need to,” tells your brain that is something unimportant to you. It is something that you will never get around to doing. Saying, “I will eat healthier,” put your brain in action mode. You will then start looking at ways to eat healthier.

“Stay afraid but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow.”
~ Carrie Fisher

“Don’t go through life, grow through life.”
~ Eric Butterworth

Gossip

Another habit to develop is to take note of what you talk about. A large culprit that holds people back from improving themselves is gossip. Eliminate talking about other people from your subjects of conversation. Focus more on yourself and how to achieve the success you are looking for. Always remember that unsuccessful people talk about other people; successful people talk about ideas.

“The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity.”
~ Amelia Earhart

“People who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”
~ Rob Siltanen

Where Is It Going?

Begin to pay attention to your money. Where is it going? Take time to go over your expenditures and see where your money ends up. Are you spending or investing? Many people will spend $100 on a night out without blinking an eye but will not spend the same amount on a self-improvement course. One is an expenditure and you will never see that money again. The other is an investment and can return that money to you tenfold. Expenditures will make other people wealthy while investments will make you wealthy.

https://unsplash.com/@mathildelangevin

Write

Begin writing. Write down everything you want to obtain in the next year. Put an end date on them and turn them into your goals. Keep journals around your home or office in which you can write your goals, thoughts, ideas, etc.  Writing things down helps you to focus on what is important to you. It also helps you remember. A scientific study has shown that after two weeks you remember:

10% of what you read;

20% of what you hear;

30% of what you see;

50% of what you hear and see;

70% of what you say and write; and

90% of what you practice by doing.

“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.”
~ Abraham Maslow

“The swiftest way to triple your success is to double your investment in personal development.”
~ Robin Sharma

Time

Finally, evaluate how you spend your time. You want to maximize your time. Learn to do the most work in the least amount of time. By evaluating and analyzing how you spend your time, you will be able to see when you are most productive. You don’t necessarily need to work 20 hours a day, especially if those hours are not productive. You should maximize your most productive time. For me, I know my most productive time is in the morning. Therefore, I get up very early in the morning and do the most I can before the afternoon. In the afternoon, my energy levels decrease and my brain gets foggy. I try to schedule most nonproductive events, i.e. doctors’ appointments, etc. in the afternoon. Find your most productive time and get the most out of the 1440 minutes you have every day.

“We can’t become what we need to be by remaining what we are.”
~ Oprah Winfrey

“Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they’re supposed to help you discover who you are.”
~ Bernice Johnson Reagon

These are just a few self-improvement quotes and tips that will help you become the person others want to be. Do you have any other changes to help people for next year? If so, leave a comment and let me know what they are. I hope that everyone that is looking to make a change will make that decision, commit to their decision, and put it all into action. Difficult Times Quotes

Life is not fair. This is something that should be taught early on in childhood. Bad things happen to good people; good things happen to bad people. This is just life. We’re all going to go through difficult times. Below are some difficult times quotes to help you get through them.

My wife and I have been together for 30 years and are happier than ever. Here are some tips on how we keep our relationship fresh and exciting. Get your FREE Relationship Tips Today!

Difficult Times Quotes Will Help

Why do bad things happen to good people? I don’t have an answer to that question. Reflecting on my own life there have been several difficult times. I believe I have lived a good life and consider myself a good person. Despite that, I was diagnosed with cancer at age 47. This was a difficult time in me and my family’s life. Through the right mindset and plenty of prayers, I survived.

“All of us might wish at times that we lived in a more tranquil world, but we don’t. And if our times are difficult and perplexing, so are they challenging and filled with opportunity.
~ Robert Kennedy

“Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations. The best is yet to come.”
~ Zig Ziglar

An Extremely Difficult Time

Back in November, I wrote a post about losing a friend. My friend was a better person than me. Probably one of the best people I have ever met. He was always giving himself, his time, and his money towards helping other people. He died unexpectedly at the age of 63. Life isn’t fair and bad things happen to good people.

I wondered why. Were we being punished for a past transgression? Did we get closer to some unknown breakthrough and evil forces intervened to stop us? Was it just a random happening?

“There are certain life lessons that you can only learn in the struggle.”
~ Idowu Koyenikan

“I can’t control the waves of the ocean, but I can learn how to navigate my ship.”
~ Debasish Mridha

Why?

Why we go through difficult times can be answered in different ways based on our beliefs. A religious person can see it as Satan turning you against God. Scientists might look at it as just random acts with no meaning. It just happens. The pessimist says their life is just one difficult time after another. Optimists see difficult times as obstacles to overcome. These times don’t last.

difficult-times-quotes-man-sitting-head-down
https://unsplash.com/@whoislimos

I go through difficult times frequently and they seem to hit one right after the other. Then I will have several months of good times. Once I realize that life wasn’t fair, I began to handle the difficult times better. Good things happen to bad people and good people struggle. This is life and I don’t pretend to have it figured out. These difficult times quotes help me out.

Ask The Right Question

When I go through difficult times, I no longer asked the question; why did it happen? The question I ask myself is; what am I gonna do about it? After being diagnosed with cancer, I didn’t waste time trying to figure out what caused it. I realized that I had lived a great life and I accepted it. Next, I began thinking about defeating the disease.

“You can make heaven out of hell, or hell out of heaven. The choice is yours.”
~ Shannon L. Alder

“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.”
~ Dale Carnegie

It Is Not Fair

Life is not fair. Never has been, never will be. When you go through difficult times, don’t worry about the cause, focus on the solution. There isn’t anything that life throws at you that you cannot handle.

“Together with God you can successfully handle any difficulty.”
~ Jim George

“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.”
~ Khalil Gibran

I don’t pay attention to other people, rather they are good or bad. If someone is a terrible person and becomes wealthy, and God bless them. I’m not in control of others in the way they live. I’m only in control of myself.

Don’t Waste Time

Don’t waste time on why it happened. Concentrate on why you need to get through these difficult times. Difficult times quotes can help. The Law of Attraction doesn’t differentiate between good and bad people. If you understand the Law of Attraction then you know you will become what you think. Bad people can have good thoughts. In contrast, good people can have negative thoughts. Your thoughts, good or bad, will become your reality.

“Be strong. You never know who you are inspiring.”
~ Unknown

“Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one.”
~ Bruce Lee

You have too much to give to let the difficult times stop you. Focus on yourself and learn to control your thoughts. If you find yourself thinking negatively immediately speak positive affirmations. Live the life you want to live in your mind before you live it in reality. Good things happen to good people. Be the example you want others to emulate.

10 Quotes On Believing In Yourself

These 10 quotes on believing in yourself will help you to overcome doubt.

You must believe you can. If anyone else can do this, you can do this as well. Yes, you can!
 – Tamara Tilleman

10 Quotes On Belief

I have very good conversations with several people who think as I do. We believe that your life is based on your thoughts. If you’re controlling your thoughts and thinking positively, you will lead a positive life. I began thinking about these people and realized something important. Most of them spend money to attend self-improvement seminars, workshops, and weekends. Many are not living the lives that they are seeking. I wondered why not.

Celebrities?

Are people looking for an authoritative figure in their lives? If they are spending money going to retreats to feel better, do they ever make permanent changes to their lives? Why not? Possibly, they are seeing the speaker as a celebrity. They put them on a pedestal and by doing so they believe that person is better than them. Therefore, they don’t make a change because they don’t believe they are good enough.

To be a great champion you must believe you are the best. If you’re not, pretend you are.
 – Muhammad Ali

Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
 – Christopher Robin

An Essential Part Of Change

Belief is an essential part of change. You must believe you can be the person you are trying to become. There are leaders and there are followers. Leaders believe they can lead and followers don’t. Belief is difficult to come by and must be developed. You are battling everything that you have been told and thought in the past.

Anything is possible once we believe and never relinquish hope.
– Shadonna Richards

Believe in yourself, push your limits, experience life, conquer your goals and be happy.
– Joel Brown

Stop Chasing!

No one is better than you! Stop chasing the so-called gurus and realize they are no different from you. Every one of them was where you are before they believed they could change. Most of them genuinely want to help. They are not scam artists just looking for your money. It is the audience that never makes the change. They don’t continue it long enough to develop belief.

If you can believe it, the mind can achieve it.
 – Ronnie Lott

Whatever you want in life, other people are going to want it too. Believe in yourself enough to accept the idea that you have an equal right to it.
 – Diane Sawyer

Use These 10 Quotes

My unsolicited advice is to find a mentor who teaches a process. Follow the process and commit to it for life. Don’t be in a hurry. You have little control over the timing. Trust in the process. Use these 10 quotes on believing in yourself.

Great things are accomplished by talented people who believe they will accomplish them.
 – Warren G. Bennis

Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find the ways to do it. Believing a solution paves the way to a solution.
– David J. Schwartz

Words vs Thoughts

There is a difference between words and thoughts. We first begin journal statements, a gratitude pad, etc., we think about what we are writing. This time goes by, we know what we’re going to write and don’t have to think about it as much. Our journal becomes words on paper, not thoughts. Take time to meditate and think about what you wrote.

Anything is possible once you believe you are worthy of achieving it.
– Jason Pockrandt

It Starts Upstairs

Change begins in your mind. I am living my life today based on my thoughts in the past. Now that I understand this concept, I can determine my future by controlling my thoughts. This is the process I use to accomplish this:

  1. I make my predominant thought that which I want to become. I think about what my life will look like in the future.
  2. When I go to bed at night, the last thing I do before going to sleep is to think about my life in the future. I visualize in my mind what I will be doing and how I will be living.
  3. I spent time in the morning meditating and visualizing my future life.
  4. When I’m visualizing the life that I’m living it must feel natural and normal. I’m not living someone else’s life, I’m living mine.
  5. Before visualizing, I elicit emotions. I think about the first time I saw my wife and it brings up the emotions I had at the time. Adding emotion and feeling to your thoughts is the ingredient to turn them into reality.

Believe in yourself. If you don’t have belief then begin developing it. These 10 quotes on believing in yourself are a start. Start speaking and thinking like the person you want to become. Do this every day and you will develop belief. Continue to develop your belief until it turns into faith. Faith is an unstoppable force. You were born for greatness, believe it.

Negative Personality Traits Part 2

In this continuation of my last podcast, I will talk about the power of releasing negative personality traits. By releasing and eliminating these destructive traits you can become a new person. I hope you enjoy, Episode 37 Negative Personality Traits Part 2, and don’t forget to subscribe to my podcast.

In Part I, I talked about the unlimited power of the human mind. I recounted some amazing and inspirational stories of people overcoming severe medical situations only using their minds. Cathy Goodman was diagnosed with cancer and healed herself with her strong beliefs. Morris Goodman was paralyzed in an airplane crash yet walked out of the hospital. He wouldn’t accept that he would be a vegetable for the rest of his life.

Now That You Have Made The Decision To Begin Your Journey To Self-Improvement These Courses Will Propel You To Success!

Negative Personality Traits Part 2

In Negative Personality Traits Part 2, I want to talk about how you limit your possibilities by holding onto negative energy. Remember that the human mind is limitless and we can do all things if we believe in our hearts. To put it simply, your thoughts become your actions and your actions become your reality. I am living proof of this.

I believe in positive affirmations. Positive affirmations and changing your thought process will change the person that you are. I know this works because I am a completely different person than I was even a few years ago. Two things were limiting me. First, I was putting a time limit on my change. If it wasn’t happening quickly enough, I would say it didn’t work. Second, I held onto a lot of negative energy.

I Was A Negative Personality Trait

I held a lot of anger inside me but I didn’t know where it came from. There was no reason to feel angry because I was living a very good life. Through many hours of retrospection, I finally realized where my anger was coming from. I lacked self-confidence which was a result of always feeling that I was unworthy. I never felt good enough and always felt everyone else was better than me.

Living in South Florida and having to drive an hour to Miami to work each morning did not help with my anger. If you’ve ever driven in South Florida you know what I mean. South Floridians drive very aggressively and don’t seem to care about anyone but themselves. They will cut in front of you and almost hit you without even a second thought. I arrived at my office every day with an angry disposition. In every situation, I encountered I immediately looked for the negative aspects. I was always thinking negatively.

negative-personality-traits-2-scrabble-letters-not-faults

A New Me

My anger carried on even after my retirement. I remember one day I realized I wasn’t happy and didn’t want to live the rest of my life like this. So I decided to release the negativity in my life. I asked God to take away my anger. When I did I immediately became calmer and felt peace inside of me.

For the most part, I’m able to drive around without getting angry but……… there are times. Anger is hard to eliminate when you have to drive in South Florida. One particular incident happened not long ago and had me backsliding into my old ways.

If you live in a normal state or part of the world, you might not understand this. Drivers in South Florida like to get in the passing or “fast” lane and drive very slow. They do not care and immediately go to the fast lane and plant themselves there for the duration of their trip. They will not move over for anything. Most of the time they are driving the speed limit or below. It got so bad that they had to pass a law and post a minimum speed you can drive on the interstate.

My Calming Factor, My Wife

My wife and I had been visiting our daughter who attends college in Orlando and we were coming home. We were driving south on interstate 95 and I was in the middle lane. The driver to my left was approaching one of these slow drivers. Instead of looking in his mirror to see if the lane was clear he just changed lanes. Luckily, he saw me before he hit me and swerved back.

All that was fine, that’s just part of South Florida driving. What pushed the old nuclear anger button was he decided he would rather hit me than slow down for the car in front of him. With total disregard, he came back into my lane and I had to hit my brakes to avoid a collision. That sent me into a tirade and the backsliding began.

The anger inside me went on for several minutes. My wife who is described as beautiful and vivacious but also a fiery Latina sat there calmly. My favorite way to describe my wife is she is funny. She always makes us laugh. In a very soothing voice, she said,

Scott be like Frozen.

What? I said angrily.

“Let it go.” She said with a straight face. We began laughing and my anger disappeared.

Release your anger, it is just holding you back.

Your Fears

You should also release your fears. Your fears are manifestations of your thoughts. Look into your eyes in a mirror and say, “I release all my fears, I am a strong confident person.” As I’ve said many times I believe in faith over fear. My faith that I will succeed is stronger than my fear that I will not.  If you cannot eliminate your fears you can still control them. Don’t let them control you. Step out of your comfort zone.

“I release all my fears and do not let them control me. My faith is my guiding light.”

Pride

Another limiting trait we should release is pride. Be proud of who you are and what you will accomplish. Don’t limit yourself by being prideful. Be humble and thankful in everything. Always treat others as you would want someone to treat you or your family.

“I release my pride. I am humbled and thankful in everything I do.”

Resentment

You must release resentment. Do not resent others for their success. Never compare yourself to other people. Always be happy for everyone and wish abundance for them. The success of other people is no reflection on you. Release your feelings of resentment and go be the best you.

I release the resentment I have for others. I wish abundance for everyone.”

Limiting Mindset

One of the most important things you can release is your limiting mindset. You must understand that you can have and be anything you want to be because the universe is unlimited. There is no competition. Don’t believe you have to compete for everything. There is more than enough for everyone. Don’t set limits on your thinking. Remember, your thoughts become your actions and your actions become your reality.

“I release the limits I place on myself. My mind is unlimited and I can have anything I want.”

Let’s Do Something Great Together!

Your reality of today is based on your past thoughts. Your future reality is based on the thoughts that you’re having today. So, dream big. Next year you can be a different person than you are today. You can be living a different lifestyle. My business motto is, “Helping You to Become The Person Others Want to Be.” Don’t go and try to be like a certain sports hero or actor. Go be the kind of person that they want to become.

What Does Persistence Mean?

I am continuing to talk about the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Today I will discuss the eighth step, Persistence, The Sustained Effort Necessary To Induce Faith. Once you turn belief into faith you will become unstoppable. Faith is an essential ingredient to accomplishing your goals and dreams. What does persistence mean?  These 10 quotes will help you discover the meaning of persistence.

Do you feel like you could improve your life? Are you a confident person who knows what they want and gets it? If not, the solution is behind the button below.

The Meaning Of Persistence

Hill states that persistence is an essential factor in changing desire into its monetary equivalent. The basis of persistence is willpower. Titans of industry are often described as cold-blooded and ruthless. This is because they have the willpower to obtain their objectives. Henry Ford was described this way because of his habit of following through in all his plans with persistence.

“The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one time more.”
~ Thomas Edison

“The most essential factor is persistence – the determination never to allow your energy or enthusiasm to be dampened by the discouragement that must inevitably come.”
~ James Whitcomb Riley

Most people will quit and give up on their dreams at the first sign of failure. They lack the willpower and persistence to carry on when things aren’t going well. Many people are motivated to change their situation but few have the discipline to work at it day after day without seeing results. The small percentage who live on their terms and have achieved financial independence have persistence.

Belief Will Build Faith

These are the ones who begin with a desire to change their lives. They have a reason to make that change, the WHY. If their WHY is big enough, he will fight through every obstacle and be persistent in the pursuit of their desire. Persistence, when nothing seems to be working, will build the belief that they can change. As they continue being persistent, their belief will turn into faith. The ones who quit will never know what it’s like to have faith. What does persistence mean? It means working on your plan every day until you build faith.

“Success has a price tag on it, and the tag reads courage, determination, discipline, risk taking, perseverance, and consistency – doing the right things for the right reasons and not just when we feel like it.”
~ James M. Meston

“You just can’t beat the person who never gives up.”
~ Babe Ruth

What If I Am Not Persistent?

So what you do if you are weak in persistence? Firstly, you can set up a schedule and make sure that you work toward your desire every day. Doing anything is better than doing nothing. Probably the best method of becoming persistent is to set up a mastermind group. A person or persons in your group will help you stay on track. The group will be able to keep each other accountable.

“I do not think they is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature.”
~ John D. Rockefeller

“In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins – not through strength, but through persistence.”
~ Buddha

At the beginning of the year, I was very persistent. I was working towards my goals every day. One of the members of my mastermind group and I formed an accountability circle. We would talk every Monday and discuss the things we did during the week towards accomplishing our goals. This made persistence very easy because neither one of us wanted to disappoint the other. What does persistence mean? It means forming a mastermind group to keep each other accountable and on track.

No Substitute

There is no substitute for persistence. This is very important to remember at the beginning of your journey towards change. In this time when everything is difficult and slow, you might experience many failures. Through persistence, you recognize these failures as steppingstones to success. This will keep you from becoming disheartened and giving up which is the ultimate failure.

To obtain wealth or financial freedom you will have to develop a money mindset. If you’re struggling financially, it is because you have a poverty mindset. You focus more on bills and debt than you do on ways to increase your income. A money mindset is only developed through persistent effort. Thinking, speaking, and visualizing your financial freedom daily will change your situation.

“My greatest point is my persistence. I never give up in a match. However down I am, I fight until the last ball. My list of matches shows that I have turned a great many so-called irretrievable defeats into victories.”
~ Bjorn Borg

“Patience, persistence, and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.”
~ Napoleon Hill

The Subconscious Mind

Our subconscious mind works every day all day. It’s working when you’re sleeping and it’s working when you’re awake. It’s picking up your words and thoughts and translating them into your reality. To change your reality you must be persistent in your words and thoughts. Speaking positive affirmations and wealth affirmations every day will reprogram your subconscious mind.

Persistence will lead to the discovery of new techniques and strategies in which to accomplish your desire. Persistent thoughts of wealth will lead to direct discoveries via the Internet or books etc. It will also lead to indirect discoveries such as social media posts, emails, meeting new people, etc. Being persistent in the pursuit of your desire will open you up to the unlimited universe we live in.

“History has demonstrated that the most notable winners usually encountered heartbreaking obstacles before they triumphed. They won because they refused to become discouraged by their defeat.”
~ B. C. Forbes

“You’re not obligated to win. You’re obligated to keep trying to do the best you can every day.”
~ Marina Wright Edelman

4 Simple Steps

Hill describes four simple steps to develop the habit of persistence. These four little steps can have an enormous change on your lifestyle. The four steps are:

  1. A WHY. Your definite purpose coupled with a burning desire to accomplish it.
  2. A definite plan in which you consistently put action to.
  3. Closing your mind to all negative and discouraging influences.
  4. Forming an alliance with one or more persons to keep you accountable.

That is it, that’s all it takes to develop a habit of persistence. Once you develop this habit your belief will grow until you develop faith. When you know the feeling of faith, you will know that nothing can stop you from achieving your desire. Your life is going to change for the better, it’s just a matter of time. What’s the meaning of persistence? It’s quite simple. Persistence equals SUCCESS.

Quotes About Overcoming Fear With Faith

If you have been following some of my blog posts, then you are familiar with the term faith over fear. Faith is what gives me the confidence that I can handle any situation. Faith gives you the confidence that everything will turn out alright. You know that it will work out in your favor. Therefore, you don’t worry about any negative things that happen along the way. Faith is what keeps those irritating “Doubt Demons” locked in their little dark spaces. No matter how bad things are today, you know that tomorrow is a new day. Tomorrow can be the day when things take a turn for the better. These quotes about overcoming fear with faith will help you conquer all obstacles in your journey to self-improvement.

“Fear has two meanings: ‘Forget Everything And Run’ or ‘Face Everything And Rise.’ The choice is yours.”
~ Zig Ziglar

What you fear is what you must conquer.

Fear vs Faith Quotes

Faith builds your confidence. Fear tears it down. To accomplish great achievements you must carry faith with you. As you begin a new venture it can seem overwhelming, almost impossible. To turn it into a reality you will need confidence in yourself and everyone helping you. Everything is possible with faith. In 1969 we sent three astronauts to the moon. Two of the astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin actually landed and walked on the moon. Michael Collins flew the command capsule. This was a phenomenal feat. When they were given the “green light” to launch in July 1969, many scientists and experts thought we were years away from being ready. It took a lot of faith and confidence from the astronauts, engineers, scientists, and mathematicians to proceed on this historic event. In fact, experts only gave them a 50 percent chance of making it back alive.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
~ Deuteronomy 31:6

“I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear.”
~ Rosa Parks

Now That You Have Made The Decision To Begin Your Journey To Self-Improvement These Courses Will Propel You To Success!

Faith vs Fear, It’s Your Choice

If the people that were involved in the moon landing had focused on their fears, that event would have never happened. Faith and fear are the same things, a choice. You can choose fear and do nothing or you can choose faith and accomplish great things. Fear will keep you right where you’re at, in your comfort zone. Faith will give you the confidence to control your fears and succeed. When you make that decision to change your life, see the outcome that you want, and have faith that it’s going to happen. Does that mean there won’t be obstacles along the way? No, but faith will get you through them. Focusing on your fears will have you turning around and going back to your old, comfortable life.

“Do the thing we fear, and death of fear is certain.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Do the thing you fear to do and keep on doing it… that is the quickest and surest way ever yet discovered to conquer fear.”
~ Dale Carnegie

Changing and making the decision to improve your life is hard. You will encounter doubts and fears. I pray that these quotes about overcoming fear with faith will help you conquer all obstacles in your journey to self-improvement. I am continuing to talk about the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Today I will discuss the seventh step, Decision, The Mastery of Procrastination. I am sure that you, like me, have faced that evil known as procrastination. To be successful and to build wealth, procrastination is an enemy you must conquer. 10 Making The Right Decision Quotes

If you’re looking for self-improvement you will need to change some of the habits that you are currently doing. You will have to decide to change. Congratulations, you are halfway to success! You see, making the right decision is 50% of the solution. The other 50% is commitment. You have to commit to your decision to change.

“When someone makes a decision, he is really diving into a strong current that will carry him to places he had never dreamed of when he first made the decision.”
~ Paulo Coelho

“We are the creative force of our life, and through our own decisions rather than our conditions, if we carefully learn to do things, we can accomplish those goals.”
~ Stephen Covey

Back in the 1930s when Hill was writing his book, a study was undertaken with 25,000 men and women who had experienced failure. They came up with a list of 30 major causes of failure. Lack of decision was near the head of the list. Conversely, each of several hundred people who had accumulated fortunes had the habit of reaching decisions promptly. Also, successful people would take their time in changing their decision.

Opinions Of Others

The majority of people who fail are easily influenced by the opinion of others. They permit the media and other people to do their thinking for them. Opinions are the most abundant thing on earth. Everyone has one and they can be as different as night and day. You will not succeed if you take into account the opinion of others.

“Stay committed to your decisions but stay flexible in your approach.”
~ Tony Robbins

“Unsuccessful people make decisions based on their current situation; successful people make decisions based on where they want to be.”
~ Anonymous

Your mind is yours and only yours, reach your own decisions. Keep them to yourself and discuss them with only like-minded individuals, such as your Master Mind group. When researching to gather information for your decision do so without disclosing your purpose.

How Do You Know You Made The Right Decision

How do you know when the decision you made is the right decision? That is a hard question to answer because you won’t know the answer until you have succeeded or failed. You have to listen to those inner voices. If your decision makes you feel happy and it is the right decision. On the other hand, if you feel cautious or negative you should reconsider your decision.

“Always go with the choice that scares you the most, because that’s the one that is going to help you grow.”
~ Caroline Myss

“In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take and the decisions we waited to make.”
 ~ Anonymous

In most cases, making the right decision is not that difficult. Deciding to solve a challenge in your life is personal. These are decisions for your self-improvement. A personal decision affects you and the people close to you. Some decisions cannot only affect the person making the decision but also have an impact on many others.

Great Decisions

Throughout history, people have been tasked with making decisions that changed history. Abraham Lincoln made the decision to issue the Proclamation of Emancipation. General Dwight Eisenhower made the decision to launch the D-Day invasion. Last July I wrote an article about 56 men who made one of the greatest decisions of all time. They signed the Declaration of Independence knowing that it could potentially cost them their lives.

“You cannot make progress without making decisions.”
~ Jim Rohn

“Unnecessary fear of a bad decision is a major stumbling block to good decisions.”
~ Jun Camp

Making the right decision always takes courage, some more than others. In my not cost you your life but it could cost you your health or financial independence. Making the right decision to improve your income or help comes with a price. You never get anything without giving up something. As long as you’re willing to pay the price your decision for self-improvement could be the greatest decision you make.
