Quitting is not an option, Quitting Is Not An Option

Quitting Is Not An Option

The one thing we must never forget is that quitting is not an option. This is Episode 9 of my Podcast and it comes from my blog post titled, It’s Not About Me, It’s About You. You can’t give up because there are too many people who need to experience your gifts.

Quitting Is Not An Option

You have so much to give the world. Each one of you was born with gifts inside of you. Everybody has something inside of them that can help someone else. I believe it’s your obligation to pass your gift to others. My gift is motivation. People have told me that I say the right things at the right time and have helped and inspired them. That’s why I started blogging.

If anyone has ever told you that you are good at something, that is your gift. We must continue spreading our gifts and never quit. When things get tough and you’re going through a difficult time, you have to find a way to reach down and fight through because someone, somewhere needs your gift. It’s not about you, it’s about them.

Keep Going, Never Give Up

I will continue to talk to as many people as I can until my last breath. When things aren’t going well, I’ll keep going. When I’m talking and it seems like no one’s listening, I’ll keep talking. I’ll never quit, it’s just not in me. It’s not in you either.

When you want to quit, get out of bed and go do it one more day. Do it the next day and the next until you’ve accomplished the mission. Everyone’s counting on you, so it’s your duty, your obligation to them to get it done. If you quit then you are letting down 7 .8 billion people. That’s a huge burden to have to live with the rest of your life.

Fight

Fight with all your being and when you feel you have nothing left in you, get up and take another swing. Whatever you do, never stop and keep moving forward. Quitting is not an option.

Life is hard and it will hit you in the teeth. It will take you to your knees. Anyone who has gone through life without any kind of struggles hasn’t lived. So when it hits you, hit back, keep hitting back, and keep moving forward. As long as you’re moving forward you’re winning, it doesn’t matter what the score is. There are too many people counting on you. It might hurt and it might be hard but you gotta keep moving forward. It’s not about you, it’s about them.

Warrior Mentality

The warrior mentality, that ability to fight, is in us all. It is there at birth. We are all fighters and a fighter is going to fight. A warrior won’t quit until they’ve won or died. Nothing can stop them. Nothing can stop you. Once you know what you want, go out and get it.

Don’t ever let anyone or anything stop you. You and only you are in control and determine whether you win or lose. You will have successes and you will have failures but you will never quit. Continue to fight and fight and fight until you win. It’s not about you, it’s about them.

80/20 Rule

The 80/20 rule says that 20 percent of the people do 80 percent of the work. I was one of the 20 percent. It was ingrained in me in the military to accomplish the mission, that was the most important thing. Whenever one of my bosses needed something difficult done, they called on me because I always accomplished the mission, no matter how hard. I persevered and wouldn’t quit.

Failure is not an option. You have been given a mission, whatever it may be and you have to do what it takes to accomplish that mission and never quit. It’s not about you, it’s about them.

  1. ✨So motivational.✨… Normally, I would say “Show up for your mission”. It helps get me through days when I just feel no motivation to write a blog post or to get my school work done.

    Thank you 💕

  2. Amazing post Chief! Indeed, I think its one of the most simple yet important things there is, quitting is never an option. You are right about cultivating the warrior mentality.

  3. True words. I mean if we’re passionate about whatever it is we think of quitting on, then we’re just not passionate enough or we do not want to achieve great results that bad. Quitting truly isn’t an option, unless the things we pursue aren’t worth it anymore to us.
    Lovely post💚

  4. I thoroughly enjoyed your post, Chief. You’re right – quitting really is not an option. We just need to take it off the table. Taking a step back and resting, on the other hand, is very much on the table. Sometimes, for a multitude of reasons, we simply can’t take the pace we’ve been on. We all go through seasons and changes in life. Recognizing seasons of rest and recuperation refuel us for the missions still ahead.

It reminds me of that quote from Confucius, “When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.” Don’t quit. Just learn from the mistakes made and move forward.

Our gifts are powerful, life-changing agents. Not only for us, but also for others. Our gifts make room for us. (Proverbs 18:16) When we operate in our gifts, we operate in true freedom and joy.

Thanks for sharing this motivational message. “Don’t give up” is a message of hope we all need right now!

    1. Thank you, Holly for listening and your insightful comments. I have learned recently to listen to my body and take those much needed breaks. That’s a great quote and lesson from Confucius. Stay safe.

  5. Such an inspirational post! Love the “warrior mentality” section – we can all be warriors if only we have the right attitude. Well written!

  6. Thank you for more wisdom Chief. We each have lived experience which can prove useful to our future selves and to others. As you say, we must share it for this to be possible! Sometimes the more difficult the task the more useful it can be. God has provided each of us with different gifts to share and it is a beautiful thing to be able to do this. Giving to others is the best use of our time, in whatever ways we are able to. Your friend who gives those great haircuts is certainly living out their mission in life. You are living out your mission by passing on your knowledge and experience in the best way you know how. Every interaction we have other people – whether that be one person or one hundred – is an opportunity to share what we have been given. Something as simple as a smile or a kind word can make a bigger difference than we can imagine.

Last year I felt called to write. Some people might call it an epiphany, but I felt it was a calling from God to do more than simply live out my life day after day for myself. I felt called to share what I’ve learned with others through stories and music. It sounds a bit cheesy now I’m writing it down but it is a purpose I thrive on. I’m not yet doing it with every part of being, but I’m on my way there. I am moving forward. With helpful nudges and assertive encouragement, of the like you provide, I keep moving. Peace to you and yours, Chief.

    1. Hamish, thank you for your insightful and kind comments. We have both been spoken to by God and told we need to share what we have to help make others better. It is great to hear from someone who has had the same experience. Take care. Scott
